Based on the core principles of the National Curriculum Statement, Grey College Primary presents a curriculum that is founded on discipline in academic rigour and is structured whereby creative and problem-solving activities are included and actively promoted. Grade 7 is part of the Grey College Primary, as grades 4 to 7 are classified as Intermediate Phase, however, the subjects do differ slightly.

The curriculum for grades 4 – 6, includes the following subjects:

  • Afrikaans Home Language (HT) or English Home Language (HL), which will also be your Lolt.
  • Afrikaans First Additional Language (AET) or English First Additional Language (FAL).
  • Natural Science and Technology (NST).
  • Social Science and Life Skills, which consists of Life Orientation, Physical Education and Creative

The curriculum for grade 7, includes the following subjects:

  • Afrikaans Home Language (HT) or English Home Language (HL), which will also be the Lolt.
  • Afrikaans First Additional Language (AET) or English First Additional Language (FAL).
  • Social Science.
  • Economic and Management Science.
  • Natural Science.
  • Life Orientation.
  • Creative Arts.

The academic day starts at 7:20 and ends at 13:30.
