Grey College Primary is a remarkable place. From its foundation in 1859, Grey College Primary is today one of the leading South African government schools for boys, aged 4 – 13 years. We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional, all-round education that enables each boy to try everything on offer, to find out what they really enjoy and are good at. The capacity to engage pupils at many different levels is central to life at Grey College Primary and we offer countless opportunities across many different learning contexts both inside and outside the classroom. Talented and committed staff members work with our pupils to achieve these ends. The school is grounded in the strength of relationships that are the bedrock of all great communities. Grey College Primary is tremendously diverse in terms of the academic, cultural and sporting backgrounds of its boys, and we celebrate this diversity. When one stands still, one is in effect going backwards. Grey College Primary is committed to build on its legacy, to look forward without losing sight of what has come before.

The vision of Grey is to provide quality education and nurturing for every learner so that they can optimally develop their potential.  Grey strives towards delivering independent, well-balanced, bilingual young men with the necessary background, healthy human relations and positive values, to the community and the country.  Discipline is strictly adhered to when dealing with the implementation of school rules and the respect of educators and other adults at all time.  We strive to achieve excellent results academically, culturally as well as in the field of sport. Loyalty towards the traditions of Grey, create a happy and secure environment in order to enable our Grey gents to make a responsible contribution towards strengthening the societies of South Africa as well as abroad.
