2025 – R 51 840* per year (excluding a once off amount of R 3000 as entrance fee, payable on Acceptance)

DECLARATION AND UNDERTAKING BY PARENTS OR GUARDIANS


  1. We are aware that our child's admission is subject to the school's admission policy and availability of accommodation.
  2. We undertake to give at least one month's notice if our son is going to leave the boarding house.
  3. We undertake to pay the boarding house and school fees promptly in advance, as determined by the Governing Body.
  4. We undertake, as far as is within our power, to ensure that our son complies with the boarding house rules and admission requirements.
  5. We understand that Grey College Primary and the boarding house cannot accept responsibility for our son's safety if he breaks the rules (for example, if he leaves the premises without permission).
  6. We understand that boys may not return to the boarding house on a Monday if they are ill.
  7. We give permission for our son to be transported to a doctor or hospital by a boarding house staff member in case of emergency.
  8. We understand that all personal property (including cash) is our son's responsibility, and that the boarding house cannot accept liability for any losses incurred.
  9. We understand that our son must apply annually for re-admission to the boarding house, that there is a selection process involved, and that re-admission is not automatic. Academic progress and general behaviour will be taken into account.
  10. We understand that admission to Grey College Primary boarding house does not automatically guarantee admission to Grey College Secondary or its boarding house.
  11. We declare that the information provided above is correct.

  • We have read and understood the statements and questions on this form. The information supplied by us, individually or together, is complete and true in every respect. If any of the supplied information is found to be incomplete, incorrect, untrue, or misleading, the School may cancel the offer of a place and refuse to accept any future application in respect of the same applicant.

  • We undertake to accept and abide by the Code of Conduct of the School, and such rules and regulations as are put in place by the School or Governing Body from time to time. We accept further that the applicant will be under the disciplinary control of the School from the date on which he commences his studies at school, to the date on which he is withdrawn from or leaves the School.

  • We accept that the School may, at its sole discretion, report to the parent or guardian any breaches of discipline by the applicant as it deems necessary or advisable. The School may also report to the same people on any matter concerning the progress, conduct, well-being, or health of the applicant, and take such steps as it deems reasonable in the event of the applicant becoming ill, being injured, or requiring medical attention.

  • As parents/guardians, we jointly and separately accept responsibility for school fees which are payable in terms of the law. Should we fail to meet this legal responsibility and fall into arrears in terms of school fee payments, we accept that we will be liable for the arrears plus collection commission and all costs of recovery, including fees charged by attorneys on the scale as agreed between attorney and client. We also accept liability for any damage to the school or school property caused by the applicant, however it may occur.
